🏢 The building check form

Walk the building monthly, and before any inspection. General items nearly every state expects — exact limits (like hot-water temperature or surfacing depth) are your state's, cited on its page in the Edfable licensing guide.

• Exits clear, unlocked from inside, and lit.
• Smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors tested; extinguisher tags current.
• Hot water at hand sinks within your state's temperature limit.
• Window-blind cords secured; furniture and shelving anchored.
• Fencing and gates intact, self-latching where required.
• Outdoor fall-zone surfacing at required depth under climbers and swings.
• Entry system controls who comes in — and the front door actually latches.
• Pest-control and maintenance issues logged with a fix date, not a someday.
